A major overhaul for this dated home gave it new life
The spectacular property abutts the Falmouth Town Landing by a sloping field and made the daunting renovation worthwhile. From the new addition and wall of windows, the living space now offers beautiful views of Maine sunsets and a stream of natural light into the home throughout the day.
The owners, young family with two teenage boys, enjoy all that Maine has to offer – from skiing to water sports. They needed their home to be functional, easy to maintain and standup to the boys activities, but also a polished space for hosting many gatherings for friends and family. The home is not a carefully curated showpiece but rather a realistic and liveable home.
The father enjoys cooking, and with the boys taking culinary lessons, the kitchen was an important focus. The family made an investment in custom cabinetry and professional quality appliances. As one can imagine, in a home full of boys, the master suite was also an important focus as a retreat. It features a spa-like bathroom and large walk-in closet with custom cabinetry.
