Meet our Team
Our people make the difference.
Wright-Ryan has a “promote-from-within” culture. It’s what helps us create well-rounded project managers and field supervision. It helps to sustain our distinct service-focused company culture. We’ve won “Best Places to Work in Maine” and we know that sense of pride in the company carries over into our construction projects. Our people seek out better solutions, investigate innovative ideas, and have the initiative to take on unique and challenging projects. Below are a few of our team members.
Greg Greenwald, Vice President of Wright-Ryan Homes
As Vice President of Wright-Ryan Homes, Greg’s construction experience lends itself to effective management of our project teams. He ensures that communication is clear and consistent with clients and team members while providing innovative solutions to complex details for our talented craftspeople. Greg’s knowledge, dedication, and breadth of experience adds significant value to our team. Previously, Greg led our Preconstruction Services and Project Development teams for nearly a decade.
Steve Murphy, Residential Services Manager
Steve is a true professional builder. He expects perfection from the craftsmen on his site and he takes great personal pride in his workmanship. He is the best of the best and many of Wright-Ryan clients welcome him into their homes on a regular basis whether it’s to investigate a home issue or to simply enjoy a cup of coffee.
Greg Lanou, Corporate Vice President
Greg has been constructing and restoring buildings in Maine and beyond for the past 40 years. He admits he has been lucky to have worked with so many creative and professional people on some of Maine’s most interesting and beautiful homes.
Scott, Senior Superintendent
Scott has worked with Wright-Ryan for more than 40 years and in many facets of construction. Aside from the founders, Scott was Wright-Ryan’s first employee. From Concrete Foreman to Cabinet Maker, Framer to Finish Carpenter, his vast experience is key to planning the logistics, understanding the building science, and perfecting the many details that are required in today’s custom homes.
Rothana, Integrated Superintendent/ Project Manager
As background, Rothana received his Bachelor’s in Technology Management with a Concentration in Construction Management from USM. Prior to joining Wright-Ryan, he owned and operated a local general contracting company where he has managed all aspects of construction projects.
Allison, Marketing Manager
Allison has spent nearly twenty years developing the communications and marketing at Wright-Ryan. She understands the importance of communication as it relates to customer service and the home building experience. With her husband, Allison has renovated three apartments and one home in Portland. Her next endeavor has led her to Long Island in Casco Bay.
Patrick, Project Manager
Patrick started as a Site Assistant during his last Summer before graduating from UMaine with a degree in Construction Management Technology. From there he joined Wright-Ryan full time. He values establishing lasting relationships with owners and working with them through the details to achieve their vision. The Portland native enjoys spending his time outside of work playing hockey, hiking and exploring with his wife and sons.
Rob, Project Manager
Rob is no stranger to residential construction. He gained exposure to the industry while growing up around his father’s long-established, residential construction firm in Phippsburg, ME. Although his primary responsibility had been field carpentry, he served as small project foreman, assisted with estimating, designed the company’s website, and worked closely with subcontractors and clients to ensure quality results were delivered.
Paul, Senior Estimator
Paul earned his B.S. in Engineering & Management from Clarkson University, with a minor in Project Management while interning for a large commercial contractor. Prior to joining Wright-Ryan, Paul worked as a Software Consultant before transitioning back to construction. He is slowly renovating his home in Cumberland. When he is not busy working on these projects, he enjoys playing guitar, disc golf, and spending time with his wife, 2 dogs, and 2 cats.
Tyson, Superintendent
Believe it or not, this baby face has nearly twenty years in the industry with fifteen in a supervisory role. Tyson is clearly a fast learner and excels at communication with all project partners from owners to on-site trades.
Jeanne, Business Manager
Jeanne manages all aspects of risk for the company and continues to support all the various divisions at Wright-Ryan. Throughout her career, she has always been involved in the construction industry from working in the accounting department of a millwork company, to office manager of a large do-it-yourself store, to working with her husband in their construction company.
Roy, Foreman
Roy excels at running things in the field. His years of construction oversight and hands-on experience make him a valuable member of our team.
Kim, VP of Human Resources
Kim has over 25 years of Human Resources experience working with local organizations in the fields of heath care and manufacturing. Her focus as an HR Leader is to foster a culture of transparency, trust, and respect within an organization to develop high performing, engaged teams. She is passionate about giving back to her community and currently serves as a board member of Milestone Recovery and as an Olympia’s Leader Advisor for the Olympia Snowe Women’s Leadership Institute. In her free time, Kim enjoys hiking, kayaking, yoga, and spending time with friends and family.
Andrew, Lead Carpenter
Andrew has been with the Wright-Ryan team since 2010 and has risen through the ranks by commitment, hard work, and commitment to his craft. He is relied upon for his attention to detail in the field and is often a go-to employee for on-site questions. He joined WR with a background in masonry but is also passionate about his fishing boat experience and island roots. He attended Southern Maine Community College for Construction Management.
Peter, Project Engineer
Back in the day, Peter got his start in construction by flipping houses. He then went to UNH and pursued a career in conservation and forestry. He was working for the Department of Natural Resources in WA doing forestry compliance before returning to Maine to work as the Director of Facilities for Maine Audubon. During his tenure with the Audubon he led the development of a Master Plan to redesign the main campus in Falmouth and improve 3 other core sanctuaries infrastructure. He fell in love with the collaborative process and decided to make the leap into working directly for a builder. When not at WR, Peter runs an Icelandic hot dog cart at various breweries, events, and public spaces!
